Announcements

OUR STAFF EMAIL ADDRESSES HAVE CHANGED! All staff email addresses now end in @heritagecanton.com. Please make this change in your email address books.

Get on the bus - The Burger Bus! The Adventure Club will celebrate spring with a lunch at The Burger Bus in downtown Ball Ground (288 Gilmer Ferry Road) on Tuesday, April 5, at 11:30 AM. Dining is in the bus, on the patio, or at any of the picnic tables nearby. Reservations are not needed. Browsing and exploring the downtown shops afterwards is highly encouraged. All are welcome to meet us there! Let Matt Sapp, Marguerite C., or Calista G. know if you need a ride. (If it rains, we will reschedule.)

Heritage Game Day, our monthly fellowship of food and card/board games, will be held in the Fellowship Hall on Thursday, April 7, at 11:30 AM. Connie D. and Emily T. will provide ham; please bring sides and/or dessert to share. Invite your friends!

All youth are invited to "Sundays at the Sapps'" this spring! We'll meet at Pastor Matt's house on most Sunday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 for snacks, games, Bible study, and fun!

The Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of Georgia will hold its Spring Assembly at Smoke Rise Baptist Church in Stone Mountain Friday and Saturday, April 15-16. The keynote speaker will be Jim Somerville, Pastor of First Baptist Church of Richmond, Virginia. Our own Matt Sapp will lead one of the breakout sessions! Learn more and register at www.cbfga.org.

Many of our youth and youth supporters have signed up to run or walk the "Butcher to Butcher" 5K in Canton on Saturday, April 23. You can cheer them on and help them raise money for their upcoming trip to PASSPORT Camp by "sponsoring" them in the race. Find a youth (or two or three!) with a sponsor sheet and pledge to support them financially and in spirit as the "press on" to the finish! Feel free to sign up to run or walk with us - the more the merrier! Information about the race and registration are available at www.butcher2butcher5k.org.

Goodfellas and Laughin' Ladies are our monthly fellowship gatherings for any "fellas" and ladies who like to enjoy each other's company around the breakfast table. We meet at Cracker Barrel at 9:00 AM on the third Tuesday of each month. The next gathering will be on Tuesday, April 19. All are welcome!

HERITAGE provides backpacks full of food for children at Hasty Elementary School who might otherwise go hungry on weekends. Each backpack contains enough food for two breakfasts, two lunches, three dinners, and snacks. We are always grateful for donations of food or money to keep this ministry going. Suggested food items are small cans of vegetables, canned pasta (like Spaghetti-Os), soup, Hormel "Compleats," fruit cups, salty snacks, and single-serving breakfast foods. We cannot take glass containers or juice boxes. Look for collection bins in the Fellowship Hall.
