Refusing to Let Suffering Have the Last Word | Easter Sermon | John 20:1–18
What if the story isn’t over when we think it is?
In John’s account of Easter morning, Mary Magdalene comes to the tomb while it is still dark. She is grieving, disoriented, and certain she knows how the story ends.
And she’s wrong.
This Easter message explores what it means to live in that space between fear and hope—when suffering feels final, when the future feels closed, and when we’re tempted to assume the worst.
Instead of offering easy answers, the resurrection meets us in a different way:
Not with explanations… but with presence.
Not with certainty… but with a voice calling our name.
If you’ve ever felt like the story was over—this message is for you.
Because Easter declares something bold:
The worst thing is never the last thing.
