Worship in the Storm | Micah 6:1–8

When life feels out of control—when plans change, storms roll in, and uncertainty takes over—what role does faith really play?

In this sermon, Worship in the Storm, we explore Micah 6:1–8 and ask an honest question:

Is worship meant to calm the storm… or to steady us in the middle of it?

Weather has a way of reminding us how little control we actually have. And so do many seasons of life—illness, grief, anxiety, disruption, and waiting. Rather than offering easy answers or false reassurance, this message invites us to consider how faith shapes who we become when circumstances remain unresolved.

Drawing on Micah’s challenge to bargaining faith, a parable of trust, and the simple truth that presence often matters more than fixing, this sermon reflects on what it means to do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with God—especially when the waters are troubled.

Whether you’re navigating a personal storm or simply feeling the weight of uncertainty, this message is an invitation to trust God’s presence—not after the storm passes, but while it still rages.
